AR repeat?

Mr. Scar

Let's say you are programing an rhythm arrangement for 16 bar song, with an 8 bar intro. Is there a way to get the 16 bar section to repeat a few times without programing it all into the BR? Or, more simply, Is it possible to have a 16 bar arrangement repeat without having to program it all in?

Each step of an arrangement repeats automatically until the Starting Measure of the next step. So...

Step 1: StartMeas 1, Intro pattern
Step 2: StartMeas 9, Main pattern
Step 3: StartMeas 25, pattern P327:BREAK

The intro will play from measure 1 to measure 8 (8 measures)
The main pattern will play from measures 9 to 24 (16 measures)
Preset pattern P327 will play from measure 25 until you press [STOP].
Because P327:BREAK is silent, it effectively ends the arrangement.

Yes, but now how could we repeat this 3 steps again and again like they were a single block without having to re-program them? I'm pretty sure we can't do it automatically.

You could always use the Micro BR Drum pattern arranger:

Its very easy to use and you can repeat easily, only downside is that it is a 30 day trial.

yeah patterns repeat but can you repeat an arrangement without having to program the same steps again and again.

Also, I everytime I name my arrangement,,,,the name gets dropped, it doesn't seem to save the "name". Any ideas?

For example: I create a new song: DouceAmb. Then I make my rhythm arrangement 4 bar intro, 16 bar A section, 8 bar B section....repeat the head 2 times. I'd like to be able to repeat the head without having to program it.

Now for the naming problem: I named the rhythm arrangement S01 DuceAmb. Then I started to lay in some ukulele....realized the rhythm arrangement had a mistake. Enter rhythm mode...and the name is gone, reads S01 EMPTY001. However, the arrangment still plays what I've programmed only the name is lost.

Sorry. I guess I misunderstood the original question. You're right. There's no way to repeat a group of steps in the arrangement without manually entering each step. At least, not in the BR. Maybe the shareware Micro BR Drum Pattern Arranger can do it.

I think I figured out the "name save" issue. If you  edit a rhythm arrangement the name is lost.

The name should be saved as soon as you exit back to the Play screen. You should briefly see the message "Keep power on! Song storing...". At least, that's the message on my BR-864.

You can also save the arrangement and all its settings by holding down the [STOP] button and pressing the [PLAY] button (see page 60 of the Micro BR manual). See if that solves the problem.

I think you may have found a bug in the Micro BR's operating system. It's supposed to save your settings when you exit back to the Play screen. Editing the arrangement should not change the arrangement's name.

I think it's eh "stop" and "record" buttons to save song.

Yes, it is [STOP] and [REC]. My mistake.
