Spiritsong

Hello,
First, I would like to thank the wonderful people here who volunteer their time and expertise to help poor souls like me. This forum has already relieved my headache! LOL...

As the subject line presented, I am so very new to home recording.

A little history....my musical instruments of choice are:
Acoustic Guitar, Djembe, Native American Style Flute and Hand Drums
(I also make my own flutes)
and some other oddity instruments  to go along with...

I've always had an interest in doing some multi-track recording, but knew there was a learning curve and with my dyslexia, it takes me awhile. So been putting it off for some time.
A few months ago, looking through Craigslist, I found what I was looking for...Micro BR!
$60.00 I could not let it pass.

So, for the past few weeks, I've been studying, viewing the you tubes and playing around with the unit. To be honest, I've learned more by my self research than I expected...but still got a long way to go. The one thing that has helped me most here on the forums, is learning the terminology. That is what has lifted my headaches.

OK enough said for now, look out for some newbie questions coming up soon.

Oh, and I wanted to say..This site rocks!
I like all kinds of music and in particular 60s, 70s and some 80s R&R
Led Zepplin, Boston, Beatles, The Animals, War, Morrison, Pink Floyd, Kiss...and...the list goes on....

Thanks again!!!

Geir

Welcome aboard. I echo everything Geir says. An MBR is like having Abbey Road in your pocket, lol.

Bluesberry

A big welcome from snowy East Coast of Canada...another monster strorm on the way...You can get great sounding recordings done with a microBR, and learn a whole lot about recording.  There's lots of us here to help you out.  Keep it simple for your first project, but try out stuff, get a bounce in, master it, get a mp3, post it up here, we will all love it I am sure.

Alternate Tunings: CAUTION: your fingers have to be in different places

Dont let dyslexia get you down...

Never did me no harm...

Before this forum, I couldn't really play guitar let alone record properly....

You are in good hands..  There are some great teachers here....

But when it comes down to your music.... Just record what you will...
The people here see past mixes and tell you if your song is a winner or not...

Enjoy this place and the company!
It is an oasis my friend. The sort that makes your become more than you are/were...

Peace
