Experimenting with the jhs crayon, di'd guitars and bass. Nasty, nasty sounds of a neave console.

Quick explanation,

This is using the PRS SE Paul, fixed tail guitar. Two rhythm guitars DI'd. DI into the Behringer Virtualizer Effects rack. Mono in, stereo out. Added the lead with a cleaner setting. Bass the same but very dirty set up on the Crayon. You have to dial out much of the fizzy top end using eq  on the recorder. I'm not sure whether to DI or input into a clean amp - not decided as yet, but he DI sound is very meaty and full. Drums come from the Digitech SDrum pedal into the Virtualizer verb. Some nut cracking vocals from me and a couple of synths from the P6 AudioThingies box I have, all into the Virtualizer. The rack does that 80's verb sounds very well, and all for not a lot of cash. I'm very impressed with this Behringer.

Yeah Bruno and pedals! That's what i like.

I also like the Crayon. It's a keeper and so is this track. It's quirky and you're clearly having fun with the DI sounds.

It can do pretty too. And velcro!

What is this, Garbage?

Not, "What is the garbage?" but "What is this, (the band) Garbage (without singer Shirley Manson)?"

Such a great and fat sound. The floating, mournful guitar line, the shimmering synths, the spacious echo and verb. Fantastic.

That's an awesome sound Bruno, as Ted said, very reminiscent of Garbage. Very cool indeed !

Dramatic and moody, but also with a palpable aura of danger. I'm totally getting post-apocalyptic b-movie vibes, and I mean that in the best way possible. This is totally drawing me into it's world of mutants and modded-out death machine cars! Or maybe a shadowy PI in a fascist bureaucratic near future hellscape?

(Or maybe I have too active an imagination? :o )

Pru

wow! spooky and sinister mate. production is just super-duper with fabulous sounds and the track is just dying for a movie!

This is excellent, that crayon draws a great picture  8)
Love the intensity of this.
It could easily be in a movie scene.
The keyboard sounds gel well.
That guitar work is the star though.
The eternal search for different tone goes on and your the man Bruno.
Excellent  stuff.
