Funny you should say that.. I just rewatched Forrest Gump a couple of weeks ago so it may actually be the reason I ended up doing this now.

This triggered a really old memory. A zillion years ago, when I was 16 or 17, I recorded onto a Betamax videotaped the No Nukes film about anti-nuclear activist rockers. It included an excerpt of Jackson Browne playing this song, and a short interview. I remembered watching Browne's hands as he was playing that main riff, and wondering what the hell those chords were. They didn't look like any of the chords I knew, but it looked really easy. I didn't have the internet then. Turns out that it's an open G tuning.
