Dazed and Confused from Led Zeppelin 1.

Got to lay down the guitar tracks this evening, all on the Supersonic (6 tracks). Drums from DM1, GB bass and keyboards

Slightly disappointed it came in at a little over four and a half minutes, thought it was going to be over five.

What in tarnation inspired you to cover this?

Everything sounds great – especially the guitars. The atmospherics – reverb, delay, etc. – make this moody as hell.

Did you program the GB drums yourself? If so: Well done! Or did you cheat and find MIDI drum arrangements online? (As I have done once or twice or thrice.) If so: No shame – at least not according to an admitted cheater.

This was my first reaction too!

I guess ODH isn't content of being just THAt alternative, loud noise, punk and occasionally Hendrix (and the list goes on and on) guy.

I would have expected this from Reggie, but not from ODH. And how does it work? It works absolutely slendidly!

There's no limit to this mans talent. Crazy cool guitar playing and even the drums work.

I'd rather hear this than the original. Well done ODH.

I did program them myself but they're not GB drums, they're the DM1 drum machine app over Inter-App Audio. I don't think I could do them in GarageBand as some measures are different lengths, some are 3/4, others 4/4 and some just needed extra beats to fit.

Impressive. I read up a little on both of those. That almost counts as "old school." I understand the limitations of GarageBand (at least in MacOS – I don't know about iOS), not being able to do tempo changes or time-signature changes. I bet you learned a lot. Back in the '80s I had a Roland TR-505 drum machine (I still have it), and I took on Alice Cooper's "Raped and Freezin'" as a project to learn how sequence drums. Hopefully the DM1 was a little more user friendly.

Thanks for listening.

I wasn't completely happy with the ending of the earlier version, I've added a few more bars into the atmospheric section, also some vocal accompaniments.

On Friday I was waiting for the train home a gig in Bristol (Yard Act album launch).  I had the presence of mind to record the train arriving. I chucked that in too, in the frantic middle bit.

It's still not quite five minutes long though, annoyingly.

Massive - I think the extra vocals and added train sounds were worthwhile, and added some (good) heaviness to the mix.
