1983Fest (banner image missing)

You might have noticed in the footer of my post that it says "yesterdays shatter, tomorrows don't matter". And you may have wondered where that's from. It's from the 1983 Altered Images song Don't Talk To Me About Love. And when a 1983 fest came about it was a no brainer. Not that it was a chore as I love the song.

I tried my best to do a faithful cover and I'm happy with the result, albeit that I differ from Claire Grogan in more ways than one.

There are in fact 13 tracks here; two guitars (both on the new Super-Sonic), four vocals, three synth and GarageBand drums and bass.

It's been a while since I posted anything and it's nearly a month into this'83 fest without a post.  1983 was the year I turned 18 and the year I went away to university so is a big deal for me.

Anyway I'm rambling. It's late. Enjoy.

Great listen Nick, you've nailed the backer. Fortunately, the vocals sound like ODH...I'd have been worried for you if you sounded like the lovely Ms Grogan. Nice clean tones from that Super-Sonic, seems it's quite a versatile guitar. Great work on the synths too !

Had to come back for another listen to this as it created a bit of an earworm for me this week. Interesting to see that Claire Grogan is still performing and still looking pretty good !

Ha ha. Everyone my age was in love with Claire at that point, I'm jealous you got that close to her. I had a similar experience with Bjork at a Flux of Pink Indians gig.
