I'm loving my New guitar (Squier Paranormal Super-Sonic). It's a character, it's a bit of a hooligan. Which is good cause I'm a bit of a hooligan too.

The good people of YouTube who expressed an opinion said it's a grungy guitar so I've done a Nirvana song to give it a run out. It's the first time I plugged it in actually (guitar parts were done on the weekend).

Two guitar tracks, GB drums and bass. My throat hurt for days after recording the vocal.

The new guitar sounds aces, Nick. Of course, much of that great sound comes from the player himself. Great tone, and a great cover.

For a shredded throat, I highly recommend Throat Coat tea. Or any kind of tea with licorice in it.

Great debut from your new guitar - love both the driven and clean tones.

You got the proper Nirvana feel going on here. Kurt would surely approve. That guitar is a beast, some absolutely belter sounds happening. Great cover.

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

Way to sell that vocal. I know this is heresy, but I have a deep dive of Nirvana on my to-do list as I never really got them. I was probably too busy with my head up my arse with side IV of Tales from Topographic Oceans.

Those big chords sounded great. What were you using beyond the new guitar?

I totally am with Blooby.  I never got into Nirvana... but what I hear on the radio rocks my world now though... as good as they were though they were that good because of the engineering on their tracks...that was genius stuff the producers did...

but onto your recording... since I don't know the song when I heard it while working out I knew right off it was you... yes... a bit of a hooligan... and rock and roll hooligan...frankly this reminds me of punk rock maybe a touch slower... but it has other elements... the guitar sounds great and I love the playing... at times it reminds me of old school electric Neil Young but mostly it is a very UK sounding in your face guitar.... everything from Ian Hunter to The Kinks to The Pretenders... and man alive Nick you got me on this one... it friggin rocks to the moon and back....love the whole thing and the vocals kick major ass..

as an added bonus play this and then Kenny and Geirs song right after...

I like a bit of musical hooliganism too. The guitar sounds smashing, and you've absolutely nailed this cover. I think it's a very underrated Nirvana track. The guitar breakdown instrumental part was particularly satisfying. Awesome!

Cathartic as hell. The cost of that guitar represents a net savings in therapy.

And let's stop and marvel a those GarageBand drums!
