Saying Sorry

I had time for a quick one I'm not having  good day backed into someone in the car park after school drop off, the cat shit in the bedroom. I believe I've upset everyone in the family including the pets....its just one of those days

I ain't no innocent
I don't pretend to be
I've always wanted to go through this life hoping  just float free
But then today it all went wrong
Everybody seems to hate me
When I'm just trying to play along
I have to say I'm sorry for things I didn't do
I have to say sorry for things that other people misconstrue
I tell you, What's a man to do

I woke up this morning and the cat had shit in the hall
I shouted at the cat and my daughter started to ball
The wife said I should calm down not take it out on her
Everyone around me seems to hate me
when all I'm trying to play along
And say sorry for things I didn't do
I mean I'm saying sorry for things that other people misconstrue
But then that's What a man has  to do


I live my life
I think I'm trouble free
But then I'm a fool
 if I think that just me
I got a wife
5 children
3 dogs
2 cats
3 sheep
2 horses
8 Chickens and all that
And each day I try to do my very best
But you can guarantee i'l upset one of them
Then I'm hated by everyone
When all I try is to play along
I have to say sorry for all those things I haven't done
for all those things I haven't done

Some nights while a sleep I dream of being free
Free to lay in the sun just good old me
Looking up at that beautiful sunshine
beating down
Nothing to do apart from just be
Have nobody hate me
everyone just plays along
I never have to say sorry because I do nothing wrong
Think of it!  I  nothing wrong

But I'm sure I'd miss it
It would just feel wrong
To be right all the time and just get along
Not have to say sorry for all those things I didn't do
Or all  the things other people misconstrue
Not live the ups and downs
If that's your life
you must be living it wrong

earlier today I heard this a few times whilst conducting my exercise routine... I have to admit that I burst out laughing multiple times... You hit the nail on the head multiple times... and I just found this so greatly entertaining and catchy and spot on!  It doesn't hurt that you managed to remind me of the vocals by someone like the famous BB King...
 but the cat chit thing just made me totally loose it... so good.... way to go man...piano is very cool

"Sorry" you had me chuckle when you revealed the inspiration for this tune! And you got it right, that's what a dude has to do, can't be right ever. Eternally passive aggressive lol (I like the spell check here, I spelled aggressive wrong and it called me out on it).
