When I came back to music after 10 years away, it was a slow learning process. This was using cheap gear - headset mic, I didn't have a bass guitar so I played the bassline on a normal guitar and transposed the note down in my DAW. I didn't have the production skills or the drum nous that I have now. So one beat drum loop. Ray does a fantastic job on the blues harp and oddly enough, given all it's shortcomings this is by far and away my most popular song on YouYube with 3490 views and 39 likes!! Contrary to popular belief this is a Memphis Minnie and Kansas Joe McCoy song, but Led Zeppelin made it their own and consequently because my version has similarities to them, it is to them the copyright payments are made.

I actually remember playing on this song and you've done a great cover version, Ron. Led Zep did a lot of these old blues numbers and of course did them very well indeed. Funnily enough I was listening to Memphis Minnie the other day singing 'Kissing In The Dark'

Oh, YES!  All around smoking! Must be one of the best covers of this song on Youtube (I would ask for the link, but I have YT blocked to counteract what developed into an addiction... :) ).  Interesting to hear about your process/limitations of early equipment - proves that it is playing skill that really matters!   Guest harmonica player is awsome!   :D

Such a classic track from a great album. You have done a great version Ron. Everything sounds very alive and intense. Decent numbers on YouTube. Great harmonica for sure by Ray. Most enjoyable.

Great rendition of a great song.
Well sung and played. Nice raw recording.
There are only three kinds of drummers. Those who can count, and those who can't.

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away
