I didn't know Gordon Lightfoot until a few days ago when I discovered him by listening to a cover on SC by Dumont of "Sit down young stranger".

...and yet I knew and loved one of his songs but I had heard it through Seldom Scene "In the Early Morning Rain".

I wanted to do a cover of this song for a long time. It's done with acoustic instruments which I like
guitar, Uke bass, Weissenborn guitar, banjo and Melodica

Absolutely beautiful job JP. Wonderful cover of this Lightfoot classic. Nice banjo picking and melodica additions. Great vocals too!

Thanks guys...I knew this song a long time ago by Seldom Scene ...I didn't find it on YT this song by this fabulous band
It is by them that I discovered in the 70s these formidable instruments that are the banjo 5 strings, the mandolin and the dobro that we hear well in this video

That's an awesome band JP.......I really love that kind of music.........you want to blow your mind.........check out Billy Strings...he is a young guitar player who does a lot of this kind of music.......and his guitar playing is off the charts.....if you like good flat picking then you must seek out Billy Strings....it will knock your socks off

I think also, I should study the banjo a little...there are in the bluegrass banjo extraordinary chromatic rise and fall extraordinary
