Here's my first song for the year 2023. Although this is more about the year 1983! I got the synth today (The post held it as a hostage over the Christmas time) and had to try it out.

Those Guinea Pig Eyes

Those guinea pig eyes keep staring at me
Those guinea pig eyes keep staring at me
But i was hungry and had to eat
If it's good enough for the rolling stones (in the magazine)

V1
I didn't get a video camera
I didn't get no guitar
My atari is broke and i don't have a girlfriend
In my dreams, i do

Those guinea pig eyes keep staring at me
Those guinea pig eyes keep staring at me

V2
There's all kinds of shit on MTV
Disco ain't bad, but rap is sad
All that glittering gold and still no money for decent clothes

School food sucks and so do you
Hearing this song ain't nothing new

Just old boogie moves put into a right (new) kinds of shoes (moves).

Etc.

Everything except drums are from Poly-800 and played live. No midi.

A word about the production. While i was singing i started hearing this "pffft..." sound coming from the chair. The air spring broke and while i sang the chair sunk lower and lower... I live a charmed life!

Synthpop goodness with some humorous images in the lyric. It's cool you got a new toy to play with and already have it sounding so good.

Wonderful concoction of David Byrne-esque weirdness! Those guinea pig eyes may be staring at you but all I can focus on is those great synth tones you are getting. Very authentic sound, straight out of the eighties!

I had a buddy who had one of these (although I never dreamed it was endorsed by Chuck Leavell). Very cool 80's thing going on here. I hope you were wearing very loud period-correct clothing).

I just listened to the previous 5 songs to this in the latest songs jukebox and they were all kinda chilled  and then this!  ;D  Yeah but it was time to liven up a bit I guess  ;D  8)

Fab stuff Zoltan with a lot of your trademarks... that lovely quirky eighties style vocal, loadsa synth goodies and out there lyrics. Great fun, great listen.

This is great! You certainly captured the era.
The synth sounds awesome, and your vocals are spot on.
There are only three kinds of drummers. Those who can count, and those who can't.

Funny lyrics and some seriously authentic 80s synth tones - what's not to like?

Good stuff, man.
