"The End of the Innocence" is the lead single and title track from Don Henley's third solo studio album of the same name, released in 1989. Henley co-wrote and co-produced the song with Bruce Hornsby, who also performed piano.

This song is dedicated to the truth. For 2023, my wish is that all peoples be granted the wisdom and the understanding to hear, see and discern the truth.

May Peace, Hope and Understanding prevail in the hearts of all peoples!!!
Love is the Greatest!!!

I'm starting to think the reason you sound so great is that it all comes from the inside. Being the kind of person that you are.

If you ever find some old shoebox demos where you're at least stumbling a little :D it would be interesting to hear. These are such solid performances that they're album ready from the get go.

Great stuff Rene! And all the best to you and your family. Here's for a great new year 2023!

Wonderful, intimate performance of a great song. So impressed with your heartfelt presentation. Nice work!
There are only three kinds of drummers. Those who can count, and those who can't.

Damn, this is good. I almost didn't recognize it at first. You've made it your own. Your vocal performance is raw and true and excellent.

Hi Zoltan,
Love your excellent feedback!!!
I am always stumbling, and I am not showing 'em.
Sometimes getting to a video recording takes a few times.
When I am in my recording studio, I am lost, and I try to dig in deep, and be in the song-moment!!!
I am so happy to be reading your beautiful comments!!!
Thank you!!!
With love and respect,
Rene

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

I know this Henley work extremely well... It is great...
but the way you slowed this down it is like a totally different song and I like what you have done here Rene....

He was in a groove as this came out with "Last Worthless Evening" and "The Heart of the Matter" around the same time.

great job Rene!

Rene,
a few takes?  I can imagine.  Zoltan does have a point though.  It is real and that is why its good.
As far as takes I might play a bass line 40 times before I keep one...lol... and I can almost never repeat one.  I think this is a good thing though because it makes us better musicians.
