Silent Night - Naked Uke

This is one of my my favourite songs to play on the uke but I don't think I've ever done a recording of it.

This is my own arrangement and I ended up just with the uke recording on its own, no elaboration.

You're right - this is a great performance and makes we want to go buy a uke!  Actually we have a uke, my kids do, but I  think it is more of "toy quality" one.  Obviously I need to go buy a Jake Shimabukuro signature model uke, or something, for Christmas.  Yeah!

The slow raking of the strings makes the uke sound Renaissance-ish like a lute (maybe). I don't know if I would have identified this as a uke if you hadn't told us up front. Very effective.

This is a very good version! The Uke sounds great and it's the perfect choice for Silent Night. Ok, now I am officially in Christmas mode...the bah humbug is totally gone.
