Foggy Dew (or The Foggy Dew) is the name of an Irish ballad, which is part of the great standards of Irish song and culture.

Numerous sung (very beautiful text) and instrumental versions dec and air

I'm still learning whistles and this one is played on the tin whisle in D, on the Low whistle in D
the rest of the backtrack is an assembly of synth Slow sting, counter bass, guitar in DAD GAD and Autoharp

Thanks for listening and comments
I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

Stephen, you must be a "romantic lyricist" in the tradition of Lamartine and Hugo (https://www.lelivrescolaire.fr/page/15570574)
It is true that I enjoy the sound (and the repertoire) of whistle
..it seems to me that the autoharp would go well with your song Holy Night..can I try to add a little autoharp..and send you the mp3?

I absolutely love these Celtic instruments and this is quite a collection. Very nicely put together.
Are you sure you're not Irish?  :D

These days I merely dabble at being old and wise.
But I swear, I used to absolutely excel at being young and stupid.

A beautiful cover, JP. Those instruments sound fantastic and a beautiful clear recording.

Also, viva la France on beating England in the World Cup and good luck in the semi-final.

This is a masterpiece of a cover!  Wow! All the instruments are great, and I love the autoharp embellishments - icing on the cake!  Really nice job JP!
