I flipping love gravy. Thick beef gravy on a yorkie-pud, yummy.
There is an optimal point though, too thin then its not a good; too thick then you can stick your knife and fork in it as a utensil holder. It needs to be just right!

I tend to like what is called Brown gravy over here.  I agree, there is a correct viscosity for gravy.
