Very cool I like it well done
Tim
Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

Jean Pierre

Thank you Tim

Mister Tambourine man

Laissez-moi passer j'ai mes papiers mon visa
Je suis déjà dans l'avion going to America
Même si je reste ici que je passe ma vie à Nogent
J'aurai une vieille Chevrolet et dix huit filles dedans
Et les Bee Gees chantaient
Et les Bee Gees chantaient

Massachusetts

At the café in my suburb you saw Jimmy's gang
They're showing off, they're rolling around the baby
Poor Jimmy got ripped off at the record store, it's
Crazy
With a Stones single hidden under his clothes
And the kids were rolling
And the rocks were singing
Something that still sticks to my heart and body

Satisfaction

The day I leave I know it's gonna hurt
Pain
My mother doesn't like my jacket and the bangs of my pants
Along the highways there are beautiful landscapes
I've got my guitar on my back and no money for the trip
And Bob Dylan sang
And Bob Dylan sang
Something that still sticks in my heart and body

Mister Tambourine man

Let me through I've got my papers my visa
I'm already on the plane going to America
Even if I stay here and spend my life in Nogent
I'll have an old Chevy and eighteen girls in it
And the Bee Gees would sing
And the Bee Gees sang

Hi Jean,
I truly love the sounds of the 60's.
I am so lucky to have older siblings that helped my get to know a lot of the 60's.
The 70's is the decade where I was a teenager, and the seventies songs are the soundscape of my life.
Love this recording.

Quote from: Jean Pierre on September 10, 2022, 06:23:23 AMthe third part (if I do it) will refer to

Turn, turn turn by the Beach Boys
Wild thing, 1965, The Troggs
California dream, 1965, Barry Mc Guire
No milk to day, 1966, Hermann Hermit's

According to Wikipedia, the 1977 version included the following song references:

Original version (1977)
Total time 11:40

  • "The Loco-Motion": Little Eva
  • "A Hard Day's Night": The Beatles
  • "I Get Around": The Beach Boys
  • "Gloria": Them
  • "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction": The Rolling Stones
  • "Mr. Tambourine Man": Bob Dylan
  • "Massachusetts": Bee Gees
  • "Mellow Yellow": Donovan
  • "California Dreamin'": The Mamas & the Papas

A shorter 45 RPM single version of the song was also released, stopping after the fifth song.

So, a version including references to "Turn! Turn! Turn!", "Wild Thing", and "No Milk Today" wouldn't qualify for 1977 Fest since those song references weren't added until 1994 and 2008. If you record another version for 1977 Fest, please stick to the song references from the 1977 version.

Also, I'm uncomfortable with having multiple versions of the same song in a festival jukebox. So, if you post another version that qualifies for 1977 Fest, I'll add it to the jukebox but I'll remove the other two versions.

these are so much fun JP... your playing and singing are wonderful as well, and some of the songs made me go "o, I haven't heard that in a long time."  smile...

Indeed you are perfectly right...you are very vigilant and it is good

the songs
Turn, turn turn by the Beach Boys
Wild thing, 1965, The Troggs
No milk to day, 1966, Hermann Hermit's were added in a "Live" version later than the original version

So I would make only the two missing quotes and their verse Mellow Yellow and California dream

If you wish I can group the 3 parts in one for the 1977 juke box
I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

Zoltan

Those crunchy drums. The multitracked reverb drenched vocals. This is pure early 60's. As imagined by the french multi-instrumentalists like JP!

Sounds like you've had a lot of fun doing this rolling revue of 60's invasion!
