Sounds great.  I'm wondering about your process for this - do your collaborators send you a complete track for you to come up with lyrics to, or is there first a rough version, e.g. with chords strummed on an acoustic, that you write the lyrics to?

Hi Des. With Rayon Vert songs I usually get a version that has a guitar rhythm track, bass and drums. I can usually tell where the verses, choruses, bridges and solos go.  If not, I just ask. That is what I use for the foundation for my vocal creations. If the melody doesn't come to me right away, I'll learn the chords on electric guitar and play the rhythm as I work out the melody. As far as lyrics go, I will pull a previously written one from my files and fit it to my melody. I write lyrics all the time for future use. If I don't have a set that fits, I'll write new lyric specifically for that song. Thanks for asking!
