So when the 1972 festival began, I looked through the songs of 1972 and this song jumped out at me.  Immediately after I posted my Hawkwind song I began work on my cover of it. Then Berrypatch posted his masterclass of the same song. I had to choose whether to continue with my version or bin it. I decided to carry on but to change its direction.

Now we have a version which is a which is based on an averagely talented Wedding covers band.

It's a little bit high for me but hey.
Overdrive - Distortion - Hyperactivity

Hi ODH,
Great song, and good cover.
I love this song, and enjoy your version.

AArghh ..that moment you find out someone else has posted the same song that you've been working on !!!
You've still done a great version Nick and its good to hear you do something which I wouldn't have expected from you. That's what I like about SC..the opportunity to try things outside your normal comfort zone.
As far as it being based on an average wedding band performance, I'd certainly get up for a dance if I heard this at a wedding. (Subject to having consumed the requisite amount of beer to get up and dance in the first place  ;) )

I see nothing wrong with posting the same song at all... and this is also a very good version... it has your stamp all over it and that is quite interesting and entertaining.... very good recording production... i like the keyboard lead...
this would be a cool wedding band...

I love the song but would never be able to cover it so kudos for doing it  sounds good

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

Nice job on this, Nick. It's not an easy song to cover, and it sounds great.

I've binned a few of mine mid-stream (my last one was 'Pyjamarama' for the Roxy Music Fest)  - kudos to you for continuing on in a new direction.

Excellent job on this! I love the loose, soulful delivery of the vocals and the instrumentation is great. The more Todd covers in the world, the merrier :)
