Oups!..it's been a long time since I came on SongCrafetrs (6 days! :D )..and I have many things to listen to...

but,   in the meantime this song of Neil Young in the magnificent album "after the gold rush" that I didn't remember and that I listened again on YT, a bit by chance

The song is played in double drop C tuning, which is similar to double drop D; however, the whole guitar is down tuned a whole step first, making the guitar strings C, G, C, F, A, C.
it's very low, that's why the guitar "buzz" a bit

I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

what is cool about this is how well you made me go "that could be Neil Young..."  that upper register you have done real well...and captured that guitar sound well too...bravo

Thank you Stephen the high register of Neil Young is not really made for me, it was necessary to make efforts..and to help plugs ins ... but I wanted to try this Drop C which makes think a little of a guitar bariton...

I like this version, it has an apocalyptic feeling.   Don't let it bring you down, the end of the world.....

I love this song, one of my favourites off of ATGR, and  your version breathes new life into it. Like Warren said it definitely has an apocalyptic feel to it (which may be appropriate in these recent days!). The buzz from the guitar adds so much character, excellent playing throughout. I think Neil would definitely approve!

Jean Pierre

thank you ... yes we have never been so close to the apocalypse as these days :(

After The Gold Rush is my favorite Neil Young album, and you did the original song justice in your cover. I especially dig how you changed the arrangement around a bit.

It's terrifying and so unnecessary - Putin seems to have lost his marbles. It's encouraging that the NATO countries have a unified response regarding the invasion. I do hope this is an effective strategy.

I don't know the original JP but I love your version of this song JP. Lovely guitar work and vocals and a little bit of re-assurance in these worrying times.

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away
