It's a rainy day and all these collaborations have energized me.  I managed to polish off one old song idea that's been on my mind for years.

Boning in the Boneyard

V1
I'm playing to the audience of one
I'm always right except when i'm lying
It got me boning in the boneyard
But momma says all love's alright

CH
Boning in boneyard
Life has made love easy on me
My fever's getting high
Barry am i high enough?

V2
I'm laying in front of the telly
Those video nasties are killing my brain
I hope i could tell my friend Mary
Those things that i'm doing when i'm alone

CH
Boning in boneyard
Life has made love easy on me
My fever's getting high
Barry am i high enough?

Boning in boneyard
Life has made love easy on me
My fever's getting high
Barry am i high enough?

Boning in boneyard
Life has made those choices for me
My love life's going down
down underground

I hear this as somekind of an re-imagining of The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole, but about someone who has a bit more severe problems. A dark children's tv-series theme song with an Eurovision song contest vibe (from days gone by). Or maybe it's just my finnish weirdness acting up :)

The guitar playing is a bit iffy as i kept the scratch tracks and build from there. The synths are free Vsti's and for mixing i used AirWindows tape plugins + some EQ.

reminds me of an ABBA kind of vibe...not so much the one that were on the radio over and over but the ones that didn't get heard much...it's good....
I won't ask too much about the lyrics.... but I like it...and I totally get the rush from being on SC....it's a great place

Cool pop song, Zoltan and I get the Abba vibe that Stephen mentions above except the dark lyrics are perhaps not 'Abba-esque' The production is nicely done and certainly has that Eurovision Song Contest element about it.

I like the contrast between the upbeat, driving pop-ness and the dark lyric. The chorus could almost have a children's choir doing the backing vocals, lol. Great combo of guitar and synth. Lovely stuff.

I had to Google this to check it meant what I thought it meant . . . turns out it does!

I'd love to see this on Eurovision.

"I'm always right except when I'm lying" - now there's a life mantra.

I feel like Barry and Mary could have their own spin-off song.

Those things we take for granted - when we're young and immature - will surely return to haunt us when we're old and insecure

I misheard that as, "I always ride exit when I'm lying."

What's riding exit? That's a euphemism I've never heard before for... "God's Loophole?"

Reading the correct lyrics didn't really clean up the song any.

I agree that this a fun synth song, that could easily be mistaken for a children's song. I've giving up on gatekeeping what music and lyrics my daughter hears. It's about damage control at this point. Nonetheless, I probably won't put this on her MP3 player.

Makes me think of that "pop goes the world" song.....I feel slightly disturbed from the happy poppy music which is carrying a disturbing image smorgasbord straight to my brain.....it's like the music is the transmission pathway to install the programming....I love the quirky lyrics......and song.....I'm gonna sing this one all day in my head.........

My first thought was this is ABBA's style and I see that has already been mentioned. Dark lyrics and poppy music are a contrast, but they seem to work well here. Nicely done Zoltan.
