I found this song some time ago and really thought it was great guitar work.... by Andy Dursley, called "Blue Chunk".... I had used it to jam with on bass and drums.  I could never play guitar like this.  It is a style I don't know at all but it's really intriguing to me.  I have to admit trying to figure out a bass line that goes with this was next to impossible for me and I don't think I could do this again.  When I am trying to play with something I generally try and find 3 or 4 root notes to play around.  I never really got there on this but I learned a long time ago when it comes to bass playing just keep running those fingers around the fretboard and don't stay in one place too long....ha!!!!  So that is what I did here.
the guitar has a great swing to it so catching the vibe with the drums wasn't so hard for me.
But since I haven't seen any posts by Andy lately he said i could post this song of his with my bass and drums additions....so here'e to Andy....

Wow, the drums are great Steve, really impressive. They fit like a glove. I like your bass philosophy, it works really well on this and sounds great, really grooves along with the song. Nice work!

You're bass and drum additions sound really great Stephen. Nice one. Love Andy's guitars, nice jazzy, blues feel to the melody. Great collaboration.  :)

I really dig the vibe of this piece. It's like a cross between Clapton and Zappa, I like the how it's got a certain structure to it with that recurring lick. Laid back and breezy with some excellent bass and drum work on top of that.

Brilliant, great collab, well done... Alex

This is so cool, Stephen. Lovely jazz/rock/blues fusion vibe and you've done a great job with that bass and drum work - works a charm.
