A Peaceful Raging Sea
written & performed by Hook
Rolling waves crashing violently
Pulling back just before pounding onto the shore

It's not calm but it's peaceful

As the sun rises over the vast expanse of ocean
I wonder just how extreme the Endless Sea

It's not calm but it's peaceful
it's strong and seems to release me
from my negative energy
just like me
A peaceful Raging Sea

I had to google Ormond Beach, at first ;D . That seems to be very inspiring place for write music, as you have just proved - you've captured the atmosphere  so nicely.  Top class job!

I dig the title Hook....it gives off a nice image. All the instruments (Ukes ) are so lush and the real ocean sounds sets the song up nicely. Great vox and words.

I need two things:

1 - Ocean
2- Crazy Lead Uke.

Do they still sell them?

It's been worth the wait.

I love the arrangement and instrumentation and I dig the sentiment.

Marvellous, I'm going to get a cup of tea.

Good to hear from you again Hook. I really enjoyed this one, there's so much to appreciate and take in. There are some very cool uke effects on this and you use them to hold the listener's attention thought the song. The lyrics are really effective and the vocal performance really does them justice. This a great listen and don't worry about not posting loads of stuff, it's just great to hear from you whenever you feel inspired.

I'm going mad. I thought I'd already commented on this. I like the lyrical tension between peace and an angry sea. I thought that first chiming uke solo section was sublime, but then it takes off to an even higher place on the second electric freak-out. The song really ends up soaring. Really like the percussion too - gives me a Brian Wilson vibe. Fab!

Great song, Hook - between the sound of the ocean and the lyrics and arrangement, it transported me there.

Keep on.

Brilliant... just brilliant. It does sound so damn peaceful. That uke playing is brilliant. Twin uke harmony lead playing... you have hit a new genre here. Like the Thin Lizzy of uke playing. The doubled up vocal is great too. Love it, gonna have another listen.
