QuoteSorry music lovers, I couldn't resist it. (..to do a cover of this song) Willie

...me too, special dedicacee for you Willie ;)

Of course I always liked this CSNY song very much, I think it was the first time I heard a steel guitar pedal

first appeared on the album Déjà Vu by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young released in 1970. The recording features Jerry Garcia on pedal steel guitar

...I don't have a pedal steel (unfortunately) but a simple 6-string lap steel that gives me complete satisfaction considering the purchase price!
It's a Harley Benton Lap steel (79 euro !??)

And by chance I discovered on YT an extraordinary dobroist: Martin Groos, in addition to a game of remarkable precision he often plays in an unusual GBDGAD dobro tuning
I have put a topic dedicated to the explanation of this tuning HERE, for those who are interested

I will add the link later

I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

Thank you Alfredo and Mike
the challenge was to play the intro with a simple 6-string lap steel in the spirit of Jerry Garcia's magnificent intro

For those who didn't see it I put a little topic in the guitar and bass forum, here

I'm bringing up my version of Teach your children, especially for Willie, because I'm not sure he heard it...

At the moment I'm learning Troy Brenningmeyer's version, in open C with laps steel multibenderg Duesenberg
