"Glow" a Hook & The Barn Dance Revival original

Had to piece this one together over the last few days. I'm pretty sure my lap steel player was just about passed out & the piano player had just snorted the last of the coke. Session guys, what are you gonna do. 1st song done entirely on the Br80 and the vocal was using the new $22 pyle handheld condenser.

I've never been confused with the brightest bulb in the chandelier
In fact I Flickr intermittently, I'm just glad to be here
Just one of the group trying hard to fit in
But it's hard when you're so dim

hoping no one will notice that I'm not what are used to be
My filament is strained and my casing is hazy
I'm unreliable and I need those around me for you to see

I've never been considered the sharpest tool in the shed
When I can't get the job done I don't let it go to my head
Not everybody's real good with their hands
I wasn't in shop class I was marching in the band

Now I'm hoping no one will notice that I'm not what are used to be
Not because I'm so much different I just don't want them to notice me
Which is odd considering all I want to do involves me being seen
And I know any minute I'm gonna let go
And then in there I eyes I wont glow

I was never the first one picked for the team
I usually had my foot in my mouth or was saying something obscene
And I am often surprised i turned into who I am who I am today
And when I truly think about it I see I haven't really changed

Still hoping no one will notice that I'm not who I used to be
And who I am right now I'm kind a hope in you won't see
Face value at the moment is all you'll get from me
And I know any minute I'm gonna let go
and in your eyes then I won't glow

Well done Hook! The $22 vocal mic sounds much better than I would expect from a $22 mic. The vocal is clear and sits well in the recording. The country licks on the electric fits the song to a tee. Nice work!
