This would fit in perfect on a Roger Waters CD.  The vocal even sounds a bit Waterish.  Great job. 
Makes me think of a quote I read recently from Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne:

That is the power of music, it can make you go on, even feel happy, in the midst of all the misery around oneself.
