anyone been to cuba? which resorts are nice for families.

we are looking at going to cuba next year for a family holiday to make up for not getting a family holiday abroad this year. going to filey this year. 

so if anyone can advice i would be greatful of any knowledge or info.

I was there actually ten years ago at almost around this
time. We stayed at the Breezes resort in Vera Dero. I
thought it was a relaxing vacation. But also there are things to do
scuba diving, water skiing etc. The people were great! I think that
that Resort is more for couples. If you're bringing the kiddies they're
could be a better resort and package but all in all Cuba is a beach
And hot destination. You can do bus tours too and grab a scooter and
Ride around. Visit the cigar factory.
The only downfall for me that I didn't like was probably the food, it
wasn't bad but it wasn't the best either but that's just me.

we seems to be swaying towards cayo coco , i like my seafood so seems the right place, tho probably not an ideal location for seeing a bit of local lifestyle.

I'd be sticking to the resort lifestyle, NOT the local lifestyle, it's much much safer.

i was under the impression cuba was a relatively safe place to go, i had better do some more research.
