i do not have a microbr but i've asked to collab with some who use it, but they do not have individual tracks it seems, for removing to add in instruments for collabs. is there any way to do this with microbr?
i've asked for a few collabs, some are new to microbr and dont know how or if they can remove tracks. it really sucks missing out on drumming for some damn good songs cause the micrbr is not capable of doing this? i am guessing you have to lay down tracks individually and then export to something like audacity one by one? i use a yamaha and behringer mixer while connected to audacity, so i have no clue what people using microbr's or similiar have to to do.
can anyone give some tips for these guys?

i would be good to know who cannot mix in a collab tracks so i dont bother them :P

i am missing out on a lot of great collabs cause of this dilemna.

People work in different ways. I'm probably more sloppy compared to others - I mix everything down to a finished song then delete all the master tracks off the MBR. It means I can never go back and tinker, but that's partly why I do it.

It's not a problem with the MBR - just who's using it!

It's easy with some forward planning to either keep the raw tracks or mix down two versions of a song - one with drums and one without. Some people will do this anyway. Everyone should do it, but I think there's a few like me who are always thinking about the NEXT song, lol.

with the micro br wav editor, the user can export all the individual tracks from a song to their pc. then upload the tracks to skydrive or a similar online storage site and share them from there. you can then download them and load them into a daw software like cubase or sonar or onto another recording device. one of the best things about the micro br is the potential it has for online collaboration. i reckon every home should have one.

new members rockatron and jules asked me how they would do this. not hving microbr i simply do not know. so i asked this question as a reference point for them. collabs are a good thing and i thikn they help you grow as a musician a whole hell of a lot.

oh and greeny, i do save my last take files, not all the others though. but i do think like you, time to move on even if some takes- tracks were not as perfect as i would like. there is enough time spent on creating, performing, recording, arranging, mixing, editing etc etc, that once your done, you're done. you look forward to a new project.

The MicroBR is fully capable of exporting tracks to .wav or .mp3. There are instructional posts here that could be found with a search. If I have time, I'll put together some links.

The free BR wave converter will convert files from their Micro into Wave files.
IMO all tracks should be converted and saved for future reworking.
I lost a few good tracks before being told of this.
