Hey, thanks guys! The funny thing is-I wasn't really planning on doing this song....it just kind of happend...rather fast. It had been so long since I played my 12 string, so I picked it up and tuned her up-started playing this song(that I haven't played in awhile) and thought hey why don't I hit record and see what happens.....

It meansalot hearing those compliments from you, Greeny!

Great, great singing.

So can you do that omnipresent Zakk Wylde squeal on your guitar?  I always wondered how somebody could chirp like that...and so consistently as well.

Once again, very nice.

Hah haha! Thanks "afterbirth"..... :)

What can I say, He is my Sensei....I definately try...I still haven't gotten into Black Label Society yet, though...I totally love his solo stuff including the trio of Pride and Glory he fronted in the 90's....Great stuff! Thanks Blooby!

I'm not a giant metal-head, but I remember enjoying the Pride and Glory album a lot.  Zakk seemed to be exorcising some of his southern rock demons on that one.  There was some acoustic number that escapes me right now that I really liked.  And I must say that "Machine Gun Man" has got to be one of the best driving songs ever.  Kind makes me speed a tad, though.

On 8-1-93, Dickey Betts took ill, and Zakk sat in with the Allman Brothers for a show (documented in a bootleg called "Zakk Goes Wylde.")  I don't know if I ever heard the whole recording, but I remember "Dreams" being quite amusing.  Here's a link.

Seriously, no kidding. Very inspiring. This has a great professional sound to it. Awesome job dude. You got any gigs lined up yet?

No, I sure don't yet....Too busy with schooling and Daddying---I'm thinking I'll be ready w/ 4hrs of material by May---I'm looking forward to it! 8)

Oh, hey, Thanks Blooby for those links!  Never heard of Raging Slab--sounds like something to look into...And Zakk going Wylde I'm sure has got to be good...I love the Allman Bros!  I always thought Zakk was influenced alot by them...never knew they actually got together!
Machine Gun Man is Awesome-Somewhere I have a recording of just him singing and playing it on an acoustic---I love every song on that Pride and Glory album---I saw him in Omaha after they broke up...It was just Zakk and Nick Cantanese in fairly small little bar-room.(I was only 15) ;D  I must say he is an excellent pianist aswell as a master guitarist...not to mention his voice!

Got some great feedback so far, man. Burnt this to a CD, along with some other tunes from here, for a long drive a couple weeks ago.

Dunno if you like Seether or Egypt Central, but Egypt Central's "Home" seems to fit the style of some of your other posts. Def cool song...if you're still taking requests. Maybe a first for your MicroBRunit?! However, I realize that my request may be low-slot since you already did(professionally excellent) my previous Fuel request!  :D :D
