I have owned my micro Br for about 4 months but have yet to make a satisfying recording.  This is my main reason for joining this community.  I am a competent guitarist But this is the first time I have owned a digital recorder.
I will have a lot of questions over the next few weeks and months and hopefully I will eventually be able to post a good recording.

Hello Harry.

What are you having difficulty with?

you will find people here who can operate this little beastie in their sleep. Ask away, there is quite a steep learning curve, but it flattens out really quickly.

Welcome to the board. Get involved and have some fun.

Cheers

Hello there. Just have a listen to the 'post your work' thread to see what the clever buggers on here get out of that little box. No matter what your style, instrument, or ability is, the BR allows you to make music and capture it with real quality. As Flash Harry says, you just have to dive in and get over that scary initial learning curve  :)

p.s. After my first week with the BR, I thought I'd made a mistake buying it. But then I found the tutorials on here, and it was plain sailing...

Thanks for the encouragement :)
I am away from home for a few weeks visiting relatives and this is the first time I have been able to get near a computor to sya thanks.
I guess I need a bit of help with the basics.  The book seems to leave a lot of questions unanswered.
For instance; the rhythm arrangements -- these seem to be 16, 24 measures in length. That's great, but what use are they?  A song doesn't repeat from the intro after 16 measures, they can't be linked like the patterns ie arrangement Jatt 1 intro, pattern jazz 2 verse etc, so these arrangements seem like a waste of memory.
After they have played there is a long gap, and then a pattern starts its groove.
Okay, this could be usable, but how do I get rid of the long gap after the arrangement has played before the pattern starts to run?

How do I delete a single drum, if I want a ride cymbal with just the occasional bass hit for instance?

I have taken to using my Alesis SR18, or Band in a Box, recording the rhythm from these onto the Micro BR as it seems more frlexible, but I lose 2 tracks doing this.

I don't want to sound critical of the product, I am sure the problem is with me and that I haven't burnt enough brain cells on the thing (haven't got too many left) :-) but these are typical of the problems I have been experiencing.

Cheers,
Harry

I have never used the arrangements, better to use the patterns and the editor. Takes a while to get your head round it, but not that hard once you get going.

I agree completely. I also just use the patterns and the editor. I've poked around through the arrangements, but they haven't done much for me yet.
