This is just one of those songs... Something I've hummed in my head for 20 years, so I had to let it out. I almost didn't post it because of all the great material out there, but I figured this is just a drunk dude with his dreadnaught so what the heck!

It's a song not about the one that got away, but the one that never was who you kept in your heart.

One base strum 'n howl track into the MBR hole, with a couple harmony overdubs and cheesy solo. I had to tune back to standard from C# so I could barely bend the strings, ha!

Love you guys!

Mark

As I am listening I am enjoying the rawness of this...love that fine cheese of a solo - harmonies are cool and give it that trademark launched flair...nice one my friend!

Love it Mark. The roughness gives it a new dimention that maybe fits the lyrics even better than the original.

And those tradeMark harmonies are just sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet !!!

oh and I love cheese too :D

Mark, I am digging this so damn much.  I too love this crazy little song, I have visions of doing this one live in front of thousands, live, in my underwear.  Its a crazy dream I have once in a while, and damn man this version reminds me of that dream.  Naked, raw, and very good, so very good.  Your "cheesy" solo is spot on and perfect.  I love everything about this.  One drunk dude listening to another drunk dude with a dreadnought (I can't even spell the word, what the heck does it mean, a German sub or something?).  You continually impress and amaze Mark.  I'm am so glad you got one in for the fest, and done of my favorite Beatles songs, just like on Neil-fest when you pulled out Dangerbird, you go for the gold.  I am going in for listen #2 and after that, who knows, I may listen over again...  Yeah, hoooooooo, great stuff Mark.
