I loved that 64G...I'm smiling now! We need to invite all the gripers from "religious" thread over here for some levity. :)
This reminds me of simpler times. Growing up playing ball in the street, my Dad making pancakes on Sundays with jazz or Stevie paying on the stereo...

Nice one henwrench...I'm a big fan of Herb and the Brass.
I have another one...I heard this on oldies radio about 20 years ago (I don't think i had heard it at the time since i was a kid). I drove straight to a CD/record shop to buy it. It was only available on a Rockabilly compilation for $20! Not even a Rockabilly song but I bought it.
...Seems a lot of happy tunes written between 1971 and 1975.

My vote: Right Back Where We Started From by Maxine Nightingale ( 1976 )! Always gets me going..." Ooh and it's alright, it's comin' on, we gotta get it right back to where we started from..." ;D
I've been racking my brain to come up with the feel good song for me, then I realized that they're all feel good now!
Thanks for this thread, Greeny.
I'm going to listen to this
musical Prozac for the remainder of my work day.
Here's one of mine:
i have to admit that one of my favorite "feel good" songs that puts a smile on my face every darn time is Henwrench's "Janes Room" !

As promised, I've been working to this thread all afternoon. Here are some of my reactions:
Re. This is the Day
I'm a sucker for anything with an accordion. Matt Johnson is my brother. Well, not that Matt Johnson.
Re. I Wish
I hated this song and Sir Duke when they were popular on the radio. I love them now. The bass is solid and spazzy at the same time. How is that possible?
Re. Spanish Flea
One of my most surreal musical memories is being in this dusty village in Cameroon in 1991, still a little freaked out by my commitment to spend two years in Africa, and there were some mechanics working on a broken down car by the road blaring Herb Alpert on a boom box.
Re. I Feel Good
Wow. I think I prefer the older lip synched and rubber legs version.
Re. Feelin' Groovy
I don't recall that episode of Star Trek.
Re. California Girls
Boobs.
Re. One More Colour
Udders.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DtKhFaW2Z1Edon't know why, but this song just makes me feel happy, it's "hey julie" by fountains of wayne
Also, can't believe noone's posted this yet:
