This is our first song since re-grouping as an internet band. We (Rayon Vert) took a 10-year hiatus as we all headed off on our individual musical journeys. It feels good to be making music again as a group.
Credits: Gary Carciello - all guitars, drums programming, and mix/mastering.
Rob Grant - Bass.
DrC - all keyboards.
Farrell Jackson - All vocals.
listening at 5:30 am...this has me waking up let me tell you. I love this... that is how you rock right there... has a cool "Lunatic Fringe" sounding lead too...
but the overall feel in vocals and the main sections is April Wine for me all the way. I have mentioned before that vocally at times you remind of them. That's pretty doggone good in my book. I have a big thing for Canadian bands and this could fit in there well. But i know there's been plenty of great rockers from CA and you ain't letting none of them down Farrell...
great band....this one is in my download file for listening as I drive around the town. 8)
Really great song , after 10 years you guys have not lost any of your rhythm and musicianship.
I like the French group name "Rayon Vert" :)
Steve mentioned "Lunatic Fringe", I agree as I also detected a bit of Tom Cochrane in your vocals.
The musicianship is excellent, all instruments are really well played and the vocals are superb.
After hearing this song, I miss playing in a band, me and some if my friends formed a band once (about 20 years ago), but it was
too hard to get together and rehears properly because of work and other priorities .. it was short lived but it was so much fun ..
Great work ..
Super well done. Loving the overall vibe. The background vocals are a treat as well. Great solo. Killer production as well. This has it all.
Blooby
really catchy song farrell , fantastic vocals and b/vocals . great mix love the drum sound and guitar work ,....brill ....cheers tony cee
10 years???? Love it brother, love that you guys are back, love those guitars around 1:30...totally cool.
Rock on!
So you just HAD TO start with a bang! :D Such fine musicianship. The song is ace and hits all the right spots. The mix is pure 80's corporate rock! The alternative to alternative. I also get the April Wine vibe from this song. Oh come on guys... all those flashy guitar licks! :D
Damn, i was just trying to get away from the 80's and now this...
One for the playlist!
Everything works fine on this; performance, arrangement and production. I was expecting heavier guitar solo, but this kind of 'ethereal' one sounds really good! Top class job with the vocals, sweet harmonies too.
Brilliant job by all of you!!
cracking rock song! love music like this!
Great rocker, love Garys guitar work on this.
Everything sits right in the mix and the vocals are crystal clear.
Nice one.

Thanks Kari! We are sort of easing our way into working with one another again. You'll have to wait for the next songs for those smoking lead guitar solos that Gary is capable of...but they will come.
Well I knew it would be good when you said the band was getting back together but for the first one where every body is getting used to each other again this song is smoking Hot. I love everything about it and I liked the Lead I think it blended the song nicely

Great groove Farrell and mixed/mastered to perfection. Super guitar work and great vocals; certainly woke me up at 5.00am this morning.
I was looking forward to this one...
Excellent song, Farrell & Rayon Vert - everything sounds fresh and organic, as though there was never any break.
Well done, gentlemen!
Yes, fine song and performance! 8)
This is very Foreigner like song- great tune, great sounds. The outro solo is very Blackmore as well.

He'll yah this has all the stuff I love. Rockin guitars a good hook. Underlying organ. A fine production. Kudos
Great to hear the band back together again! A really tight track, superbly played and really well written. I like the guitar sounds on the first solos, very effective. And a great vocal over the top with first class production. A real rocker, well done!
What a belter! This one has a real latter day McCartney flair in it to me, particularly from his great Memory Almost Full album. The vocals are amazing, I love how you can dig in with grit yet also keep your voice super clear. The harmonies in the chorus are a knock out! The guitarwork really stood out as well, particularly the tasty slide near the end. Bravo guys!
I am 23 again listening to this.
Thanks for enabling a bit of time travel.
Shit hot.

Thanks, Farrell! This site has some really great musicians. I'm glad you turned me on to it. I'm enjoying my listens and have fun expressing my thoughts on their music. I love being part of RV and playing with you.

Rob, Welcome to the site... your new song is fantastic.... love everything about it. total rock out...but Farrell is almost always about rocking to the high heavens and back...so I would not expect different here... I will try and figure out more about which part you play in the Rayon
In my life, "getting the band back together" is a very social thing – and the music is secondary.
I guess that's not the case for you. This is excellent.
Oh my goodness - this is SUPERB.
Deep Purple got mentioned on the other song, and I puzzled whether I could hear it... I kinda decided not in the end...
But on this one, the slide guitar on the outro is Mr Blackmore all over :)
Spinning it again.
Oh wow. This is so good.
Gonna have to listen to the other one again now ;D
Excellent rocker Farrell pleased I jumped in
Great song Farrell and co. I've been missing Rayon Vert and I'm in need of more.
