Ive got a bike messenger bag that Ive used for awhile to tote my songbooks, tools, strings and "whatnot" around. Its got tons of pockets and zippers, with a nice one up front that fits the MBR nicely...and the material is a rubbery vinal to keep it dry.
But now I feel like my load has gotten bigger each day since the MBR...and its a mess of cables and these big ol Sony headphones take up alot of space too!
And it all resides on TOP of my books now, bending them out of shape somewhat, as they should be standing vertically...theyre on the bottom.
So as cool as this bag is/was...its got me wondering, what do you use to portage this small wonder? And all its "accessories"?
And whats your secret for keeping cables tangle free? I always try and wind them round themselves, but it seems futile.

Get some Velcro (hook and loop) cable ties. They're inexpensive, easy to use, and re-usable.

I'd make bigger cable loops than shown in the video. It makes it easier to wrap the velcro ties around, and the cables will lie flatter when you unwrap them.
Thats a good idea that I had considered, but havent found a good source for yet...thanks for the links. And the video...I cant believe I watched the whole thing.
When I go on trips, I have a wee camera bag that perfectly fits the Micro BR, a Kaossilator, a BOSS octave pedal (for bass tones), and a Micro POD (if I'm feeling especially Randy). There's enough room for extra cards or whatever. I carry cables in the outside pocket of my cheapo Strat's gig bag.
Works well albeit a tad nerdy.
Peace.

Doesnt sound all that small or "wee" with the pedals in there too.

Oh, it's rather wee.
Most of time, it gets tossed into the little compartment of my guitar's hard case since my guitar and MBR pretty much go everywhere together (band rehearsal, friends house to jam, etc...)
If it take it elsewhere and want to look put together (i'm such a poser/geek sometimes...) I have a Boss 3 pedal case (gray plastic) that does a great job of containing my MBR, AT Stereo Mic, cables, SDcards, and notebook. The only thing that doesnt fit right are my nicer headphones so i usually just cart around some decent earbuds in the case. I just use a sheet of 1/4" foam that sits on top and keeps everything in place.
Namba Gear has some interesting bags and backpacks. The Samba Personal Stash Bag ($34.95) looks like it might be handy for some Micro BR users.

If you need more storage space, they also offer backpacks and other larger bags.

Another idea is camera bags and cases. They usually have lots of zippered pockets, pouches, and compartments that could be used for Micro BR, cables, mics, headphones, etc.

I've gone for a slightly different (low cost!) solution... I hollowed out a Sega Mega-Drive game case, and it's a perfect hard-shell carrier for the BR. It just gets thrown in my bag now, and any wires, headphones and batteries etc can take care of themselves.

Thanks for the tip ordered 10 from ebay for a couple of quid!
I'm going prove that I am an American Redneck through and through, I took the liner out of this snuff package, and the MBR fits nicely with a few picks stored under it.

Cables I carry with the instrument bag.
I use this product for cable management at work, and it rolls into my personal life quite often

This is what Ive been using, Ive got a Timbuk2 Classic Messenger (http://www.timbuk2.com/tb2/products/messenger/classic-ballistic-messenger) in medium(mine is blue)...it fits all the MBR gear well, its just now I need to find another bag for my books, and possibly my guitar repair tools too...the MBR gear is mangling up my books!
Thanks for all the replies, keep em coming, Im liking all the new ideas that I hadnt even considered.
That snuff tin is the coolest thing I've ever seen!! Too bad it says grizzly and not Copenhagen....I've tried Grizzly...it's cheap crap!! Cool case though~ I'm keeping my eyes peeled for one of those!!
in a poly bag
In a cookie doe box ;D
When I'm traveling without any extra recording peripherals, I have a nice padded case that used to belong to my old Palm Pilot. The MBR fits perfectly.
It's kind of like this one:

A hollowed out pineapple works for me,doesn't stop the tangled cables though, infact it makes matters worse due to the fact that there's a bloody great big pineapple tangled in their too! :P
I use a Crown Royal bag:) In it I keep my MBR, sony stero mic, usb cable, power supply (same one boss pedals use), usb flash drive, and some pics.

So funny you should mention that. I bought Grizzly just to get a shot at that can. I originally started keeping my picks in it, Then bought the MBR, and was thrilled at the fit. I am a Copenhagen man myself, so I feel ya there.

I finally bought some of this this weekend...its really helped me get more organized, thanks for the tip!
my mbr is now on it's 1000th polythene bag, it goes everywhere wi me.
I have no idea how to make these pictures just show but I'll post them as attacments. Maybe 64 will help me out like usual...? ::)
I'm kind of a dork but had to have a functional case for this car studio thing. Got the mesh zipper pocket for chords, pick ups, etc. The mbr fits in the velcro pocket on the right perfectly and I also keep a small notebook and pencil in the sleeve pockets on the left.i added the foam and the speaker of course and the headphones are some $20 sony's that sound pretty good. I love that the swivel flat. Big outside pocket for whatever else. I see these cases at goodwill all the time for a few bucks. I take it everywhere with me, that and my uke!
Just pop it in your handbag dahling x
