I had recorded a couple of short songs that focuses on vocals and acoustic guitar. I thought each was too short to stand alone so I coupled them up. Same guitar and same voices in each, lol. It just worked out that one ended and the other started with the same open note so that's where/how I joined them. I'm not sure if it works perfectly but now I can present 3 minutes of music to listen at.
Farrell
What a classy piece of work, love the vocals and the picked guitar in fact I love it all. Willie
Your background vocals are just ridiculously good. Do you usally work with harmonies or unison lines?
Lovely playing, especially in Part II.
They manage to work together rather nicely I would say.
Blooby
Superb Farrell,
So Professional, Brilliant harmonies and great guitar playing..
Well done....
Alex
Gorgeous, Farrell! Those harmonies are just superb... it's like they're on rails: so accurate & and melodic. This whole combination of two songs reminds me of The Beatles & the Beach Boys working together. Magnificent!
Lying back with the headphones on- what an amazing song.
Really beautiful songwriting and performance.
Love them Farrell you have a great voice they go together well
I agree with what the gang said, and recorded perfectly too!
Mark

Blooby: I usually work with harmonies but it depends on the main vocal melody. Some melodies to specific chord progressions don't fit well with the style of harmonies I like to use so I'll go with unison type of backing vocals. Disclaimer: I don't really understand music/harmony theory, I just follow the chords with the harmony lines I choose. I make sure the starting note is part of the beginning chord, the transition to the next chord fits, and the landing note is part of the chord I'm heading to. I'm sure there are musical terms for that but I have no idea what they are. I just follow my ear.
Johnny: Good catch on the Beach Boys/Beatles compare. I have to admit that Brian Wilson's backing vocal style was an influence for the first part and that CS&N was for the second but it's hard for me keep The Beatles' vocal stylings out as they always seem to sneak in.
Thanks all...very much appreciated!
Farrell
Blimey - this is stunning stuff, Farrell. The vox are marvelous but the acoustic guitar has superb clarity as well.
Awesome.
Paul
Quality! Love the vocals, which (especially the harmonies) have a strong Beach Boys feel to my ears. I also appreciate the seamless feel between the two pieces.
Great song, Farrell.
Wonderful composition! There is many parts, but all works well together. Your voice and harmonies...stunning!
i am reveling in all your influences here Farrell, and loving every minute of it.
i could live on a diet of just Brian Wilson and CS&N.
that said this is also very original too, and very very classy, sounds like a whole lot of time and effort went into this, and boy was it worth it.
way to go that man.
Farrell this is a fantastic post. Your harmonies sound really good and that acoustic guitar cuts through brilliantly.
It's cool the way you spliced the 2 songs together. The second part has that CSN feel. Excellent songwriting and production. You are a talented musician.

Oh my..!!!
This is stunning! The harmonies are out of this world!! Fantastic playing, too! If you'd remove the guitar, this would work on A'ccapella version as well!
I take my hat off!!
