ended up here.

a man with a mission
trying to spread the word
from atop a soapbox
but no one gathers round
howls of derision
softly shaken heads
no one pays attention
his words are never heard
no one listens
no one listens
to what he says
a sad and lonely figure
mutters to himself
doesn't care who overhears
him curse this effing world
they'll never understand him
they'll never know his world
they'll never see the shadows
or ever feel his hurt
no one listens
no one listens
to what he says
ten thousand people
in the city square
but you wouldn't know it happened
cos there's nothing on the air
the revolution
will not be televised
the status quo
will not be criticized
no one listens
no one listens
no one listens
to what we say
no one listens

Well I listened - and it was a jolly good listen James :-)
Very enjoyable track, and well recorded.

Yes Sir,
I'm listening too and it's a smoker.
The hard hitting beat grabs your attention and the heartfelt lyrics and
the emotional delivery feeds the soul.

Sir... U Rock

"Funk-eh!" Another cracker. BIG production. Has that 'classic-era' Cure vibe - nICE!

Loved the stereo tom thing. This is big...really big. Lots to digest, and all of it yummy. Having said that, I'm a little disappointed in your lack of specificity with the last item in your equipment list.

I love the bass, great sound and nicely played.  The lyrics seem to have come out of recent events?

super or extra indeed! ordinary lol. re the lyrics and recent events,  austerity demos, health cut demos etc anything challenging the government hardly gets on tv these days and i mean the bbc in particular.

The drums way up in the mix almost make a statement of their own. ...kinda put an exclamation point on top of the softly but emotionally delivered vocals. The subject matter is sadly true. Good song here James.

Likewise, in my opinion I don't like one more than the other, they each stand alone as a great tune!
Rock on!

I like it when you take time to fill out and expand your musical landscapes. There's lots of great stuff going on in this one - everything flowing, and with those solid drums and bass anchoring the ambience. Fine lyric, fine song.
