How to share Drum Arrangements made on Micro BR

A Drum Arrangement in Micro BR is a sequence of Drum Patterns played in a specific order. There are about 293 rhythm patterns  and 9 drumkits so the arrangements possibilities are vast. Be aware that you can't edit the drum pattern itself. You have the use one of the 293 rhythm patterns.

The Drum Arrangements are stored in the Song Folders (G:\ROLAND\BR0\) of Micro BR and are called ARRANGE3.BR1. Each song has its own ARRANGE3.BR1 file.
An example: G:\ROLAND\BR0\SONG0000.BR0\ARRANGE3.BR1 - This is the drum arrangement I made for my song 0000.

We can substitute this arrangement file by other but it must always have the same filename (ARRANGE3.BR1).

To share your drum arrangements with the community just upload your ARRANGE3.BR1 file using the attachments feature by pressing Additional Options on the post edit, then choosing the file and posting your message. Other users will then be able to download the file and overwrite their ARRANGE3.BR1 file on a given song to use it.

I think a nice 12 bar blues arrangement would not take too much time and be beneficial to all.  (I am pressed for time, but I will see what I can come up with.  Seems like it would be a fun challenge too.)

If anyone has some 12 bar blues arrangements to share, that would be great. Just starting to get into rhythm arrangements. Thanks!

Rather than waiting for someone to upload their ARRANGE3.BR1 file containing a 12-bar blues arrangement, you'd be much better off learning to create your own arrangement. It's really very easy. Study pages 85 to 88 in the Micro BR manual, 3rd edition as well as the following web pages:

https://songcrafters.org/64guitars/BR/Tutorials/Rhythm_Guide_Intro.html

https://songcrafters.org/64guitars/BR/Tutorials/Arrangement_Example.html

That last web page uses a complete 12-bar blues arrangement as an example. All you have to do is enter the steps as described. The directions are aimed at the BR-864, BR-600, and BR-900CD, but the Micro BR is very similar and you should have no trouble entering the same arrangement into your Micro BR. Here's what it sounds like with a couple of guitar tracks:

Once you've entered this example arrangement into your Micro BR, you'll realize how easy it is to create your own arrangements.

Thanks, Glenn. Yes, that's me. I created that seven years ago for the Yahoo! BR-864 group in response to a discussion about drum arrangements.

Soon after, I wrote it up properly as a tutorial and uploaded it to my website.

https://songcrafters.org/64guitars/BR/Tutorials/Arrangement_Example.html

The page has been revised a bit since then to include other BRs such as the BR-600 and BR-900CD. But the MP3 at the bottom of the page is the same one I uploaded to the Yahoo group in August 2004.

It wasn't meant to be anything more than an example of how to create an arrangement, so there's not much to it. Just two guitar tracks (lead and rhythm) and the drum track. I didn't even bother to add bass.

Maybe one of these days I'll record a proper blues song.

This is interesting info.  However,  I would be more interested to know if there is a way to create a drum pattern and replace a preset pattern with it - particularly a sticks intro for example, and also a big cymbal outro!  😊
