Check it here using Firefox in Windows 7:

http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player.html

Then go here to see if you need to update:

http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

You could also try disabling Flash to make the Soundcloud player use HTML5 instead. I just tried it and it worked fine for me. Although, it also works fine for me when Flash is enabled. Press Ctrl-Shift-A to go to the Add-ons page (or find it in the menus), then click the Plugins tab. You should see Flash in there. Set it to "Never Activate" then try Blooby's song:

If that works, then Flash is obviously the problem.

To re-enable Flash, go back to Add-ons/Plugins and set it to "Ask to Activate" (or "Always Activate" if you prefer).

...and, as usual, 64chitarre found the solution (at least in my case): Plug-ins-Shockwave Flash-Never Activate.

Now Soundcloud is in its splendor  ::) again on Firefox (and SC too, of course...)

Thanks, 64!

It works fine if I just go to the Soundcloud site - everything plays perfectly. It's just when the player is embedded on a 3rd party site - I went onto Axesrus, (a guitar spares site) and found the same issue with their Soundcloud clips of pickup demos etc... whenever the Soundcloud player is embedded in another site, it just gives me the blank rectangle.

Using Firefox on this Win7 PC is where the problem occurs - when I'm on my Linux laptop (again using Firefox) all is well. I suspect it's got something to do with the Flash plug in but other Flash stuff, like the Soundcloud site itself, and the Flash engine on the Songcrafters player, all work fine.

If I switch to Opera, it's all OK too, but I'd rather use Firefox to be honest.

Just tried this and it works fine now, so Flash does seem to be the problem. The bizarre thing is that I have just updated Flash... about a minute ago, and when I try to use the Flash option (as opposed to HTML5) for embedded soundcloud tracks, I STILL get the same problem. Even WITH up to date Flash installed. No matter, I'll just set it to "Ask To Activate" from now on. Thanks 64! You're a star, mate  :)
