Hi All, back to the guitar for a bit of rock. All done in a bit of a hurry as usual still, busy at work. Hope you like regards........Willie

Words

1. I was feeling good
I  was the centre of the room
   Cash in my pocket
   A diamond like a moon
   I raised my arms
A hush ran through the crowd
   A woman on my arm
That made me feel so proud
   Reflection from my watch
   Flashed like a laser beam
   The woman on my arm
   Felt just like a queen
Then she went and spoiled it all
She had to break the spell
She had to say the words
That could really give me hell
   It didn't take much
   To really lift the trance
   Something really simple like
   Do you want to dance

2. I said no baby
   I need another drink
   I said no no baby
   I just wanna seat
   Don't ask me anymore
   You'll get the same reply
   She said come on honey
You'll be great and winked her eye
I said no way, what do you think I am
I said no way, dancings not for men
I only like a funky beat
And I might move an arm
I shouldn't really have to dance
When I can use my charm
One last dance if I'm really in the mood
   When the lights are down
   And I'm really feeling good

Inst. Repeat verse 2. Inst & fade out.
that could really give me hell

YEAH  Willie another winner. Love that occasional spoken word. Great Vox, Guitar, production. Great 3 man band sound...my favorite.  To the MP3 player for sure......Ted
Dance as if no one were watching.
Sing as if no one were listening.
And live every day as if it were your last.

Oh well ........

Hi all, thanks for your kind comments, I enjoyed this doing this one although there is no real substance to it. I just wish I'd had the PRS guitar 35 years ago when I was taking things a little more seriously......Regards  Willie

Brilliant Willie, I love the lyrics - I was reading the first verse and thinking "where is he going with this?". Really made me smile! Great sound all round, nice rocker and I love the twangy guitars hitting you from all directions in the mix. Lovely solos as well.

Cheers,

I love the crisp, funky chop on the guitars. That's some mighty fine rhythm playing! Great guitar work all-round though. Funny and very effective lyrics too. It all adds up to a highly enjoyable listen. Reminds me a bit of the U2 / BB King song 'When Love Comes to Town'.

I dig the southern sounds here Willie!
Dont know why I'm reminded of Don Henley when I hear this because it sounds nothing like him, but I am.
Anyways, cool tune!
