I think that the way you have sung this in your native tounge really makes it stand out, and gives the song a real individuality, especially with the addition of the harmonies.

Wonderful acoustic playing and really like the tele additions, they fit perfectly.

A truly individual and classy song

Very powerful! Right away, I was reminded of "Behind Blue Eyes," possibly my favorite Who song. The backing vocals, especially, remind me of Townshend/Daltrey-style harmonies.
Is that your Tele making the flute-like noises? A really cool touch.
This is a unique, fascinating listen - I like acoustic music with some interesting electronic flourishes, and this certainly has that going for it.

Awesome songwriting and performing! Fantastic harmonies, they sounded very "60's" in my ear! Tele gives a slight psychedelic feel to this! => mp3 player. Very nice job, Tom!

Hi guys
Yes that is the Tele making the flute sounds. I've an old zoom effects pedal with a violin type of effect.
Chip that it also one of my cave Who songs. I have watched a Who video recently maybe that's where the backing vocals influence thing came from?
Anyway thanks

I like this very much - the acoustic pattern is very Sixties sounding to my ear (and that's a good thing, imho, anyway).

Vox and lyrics are top notch, and I would not have pegged the flute sound as a Tele!

Wow this is fantastic! Great song, great vocal and lyrics. Love it!

QuoteSorry you thought the song sounded "insincere"

You should not apologize for creating such an awesome song...you shouldn't apologize for creating any song!

Have been too busy today to post comments as I listened to this earlier. Just wanted to add that I really enjoyed it, great guitar work and harmonies. I enjoyed the vox, nothing jumped out at me as sounding a bit odd - if you're happy with the performance, stick with it I say!

Cheers,

Nigel

Thanks for the comments Nigel / Gritter.
Hi Cuthbert yes the Tele does sound ..... different :-) As with a lot of my stuff i stumbled on the sound while just picking away over the top of the song wondering what to do next!!

I agree - that vocal is dripping 60's British.

Reminds me of the Animals or other bands from that era.
That guitar smacks of CSN (which is pretty much the highest honour I can bestow on you).

Great job Tom.
This is a fantastic song. You should be proud of this one man.
It ain't pretty being easy.
