Energy meter, got a new toy

Not music related.

Picked up a Blue Planet Energy meter em100 today.
Idea is you go around the house and wherever you have something plugged in
unplug it, plug in the meter, and plug the device or cord back in and let it run.

Meter shows the current watt usage, total power consumption and estimated cost.

First off I have it tracking our fish tank (120gal african ciclid tank) and it is showing 380watt usage, will see what it shows for a days consumption.
Maybe convince wife to switch to unheated gold fish or do something to remove it altogether
Fear what it will show for the large plasma tv

My wife purchased one of these recently, and me and the kids now actually have to turn lights off in rooms that we are not in

I'm also a member of the 'light police'... apprehending unecessary light usage wherever it occurs!

I don't need an energy meter though, just common sense!

Seems I am in the dog house for using this new toy 

After two days monitoring It worked out that large aquarium is eating 4Kw-5Kw a day in winter.
Which multiplied out for the month is almost 1/3 of our total monthly power consumption.

Aparently that is my fault for proveing what I have been trying to  point out  for quite a while now
