Not had a lot of time for music of late - work has taken over my life again - and Nick (Nightcaller) reminded me that I hadn't posted this song which we completed a few weeks ago now.  The song is called "Hold On" and features Nick on vocals and bass, Mark Drozdz on guitars and I play various assorted keyboards.

I really dig the production (as usual) on this one. Fantastic vox, including backing vox. The keyboard work on this is fantastic. Each lead guitar segment had me drooling, all while riding a fantastic bass line.

So Pro.

Can hear so much to admire...the riffing guitar at the start with the 60's sounding keyboard coming in over the top. For me the song goes into prog rock mode after that, twisting and turning unexpectedly making it an enthralling listen, with some outstanding lead guitar work really driving it.

The strong vocal and the polished production add further to the magic of it all.

Wow, this needs a bump! I'm still catching up a bit and this new and of course excellent FP song needs a few more listens. Great work guys, incredibly polished and professional recording. I really love the keyboard solo at about 2:08 and the guitar solo that follows it, and the way you have constructed and arranged this song shows your consummate skill and great musical talents. Very impressive indeed, fantastic playing and production as always.

And what's better, I can now picture you playing this in your denims, waistcoats and long hair courtesy of the Songcrafters Time Machine:

This is a monster of a rock song. Expertly written, performed and produced, with real drama on the delivery. That guitar solo is mind-blowing - love the tone on it, and how the songs goes double-time coming out of it. Good little Deep Purple-esque touches on the organ on the intro too. Immense.

Jaw-droppingly great. I've listened to a lot of music today - everything from Xavier Rudd to Del McCoury t0 ELO to Steely Dan - and this is the best song I've heard all day. So many wonderful things to comment on, but in particular the organ playing blew me away.
