Newbie mic advice

I'm expecting my BR Micro tomorrow and am wondering if this will work with my Rode M3 microphone. It can use either 9v or phantom power.

Otherwise, are the Sonys really the best electrets out there? Are there other good electrets in the sub $100 range?

Hi.

You should be able to use it with the 9v power. There is no 24v or 48v phantom power built into the MBR.

I have an NT1 which I use through a mic preamp with phantom power and put it into the line in input.
One thing to watch here though is the line in is a stereo input.
