This was recorded...0N ThE fLY.  :D
Just written and recorded live today with the house to myself for a few days. Used the cajon on this one...still searching for the best way to record that dang box.

This is a true story.

...I never did find one.

TFL,
Sandy.

*it was warm and sunny enough today for a fly to exist and make its way inside. The thing was the size of a peanut. Must have been hibernating.

This is so cool, Sandy. Did you get the brush sound on the cajon? They seem really versatile. I'd like to hear it a bit higher in the mix!

For the flies, I usually rely on me cats (they love a good bug hunt). We actually had a fly in the house about a week ago, which is rare this time of year (usually cold enough in these parts to freeze the balls off a brass monkey), but it was kind of warm for a few days beforehand, so go figure.  :D

I got the cajon about about 3 years ago for my birthday from a good friend. I didn't even know what it was when I got it. It has a nob on the side to take snares off or on. I had them on.

Love it Sandy, I am indeed jumping around singing it like Jim. I didn't know what a cajon was until someone (Tharek I think) posted about it. It gives a great organic feel here and this is great fun. Inspired brilliance and a great vocal performance as well.

Alone in the house......Hmmm, I'm glad you're using the time to make some music!!!

Cheers,

Nigel

Geir
