Yes, the bass is a part of the samples in this device. The programming also allows bending notes. Effects are also built-in. This is a sweet device.

It also can create chords and scales, has a tuner, pitch shifting, easy construction of patterns,
too many functions to mention here.

There are dozens of patches for bass and drums and an input for guitar and bass, if you want to
input and play along with the drums and bass.

I prefer to develop a drum track, then record it into my eBand. From there I export the track to a
flash drive and transfer it to the computer. I use Adobe Audition for all editing, synching and mixing
of tracks.

On a scale of one to ten this baby gets a ten from me.

Gnasty, threaten to kill and eat one or two of Santa's reindeer. Maybe he will give you a DR880 to ransom them back.

I left a note by the Christmas tree for Santa. It said, "If you leave a DR880 under the tree for me, I will give you the antidote for the poison I put in the milk and on the cookies"

I got one!

I love mine. I got it from a drummer(!?) for $100
It's hard to choose from the huge awesome selection.
Then you get to tweak everything, and I mean everything, instruments, tone, feel.
or build your own from scratch
or add into, or delete from, any of the patterns.
The bass follows input chord sequences or you can play along on your own.
Then there are all the bass and guitar presets.
Endless fun but a bit of a learning curve at first.
Every time I think of a limitation they've covered it.
It can be a full time job but satisfying.
The best $$ I've ever spent
