Gritter

A touching and well performed song. I do hear the Nick Drake comparison too.

Quotepeople in an audience want you to succeed and they want you to be "in control".

This is the best advise for nervous performers. Nigel you are wise.

Hello Tom,

In a way I can hear the drums and bassguitar already 'under' it. You should work this song out!!

Two thumbs up!!!

Guys i've recieved some great advice and encouragement so thanks again, you are a good bunch :-)
Gritter i agree that was such a simple yet true piece of advice, the audience do generally want a good night and want you to succeed.

playing catch up here, i get a nick drake vibe from this too, but i also get early solo peter hammill feel from it too, it has a lovely ethereal feel too it.
can't give you any advice re playing live, something i dont think i'd ever have the bottle or confidence to do.
apart from karaoke the only time i get behind a mic in public is hosting the local pub quiz and occassionaly compering gigs, i actually enjoy doing that and have a lot of fun doing it but getting up in front of people and performing on my own songs fills me with dread
