You come home late from work
And you've had a really bad day
You look tired, you look worn down
You walk into a dirty house
You snap at me as I say hi
You go off at the slightest sound

You say what you say
And I say what I say
We don't always see eye to ey
Through all the trials
The good times and the bad
We are just trying to live our lives
I'd do it again and again

Both the kids start a fight
Ask you what there is to eat
All you want to do is take a break
Hey Mom sissy's touching me
She hit me when I told her to stop
Somehow you get another headache

You ask me if I'm coming to bed
It's late and you're getting tired
You say it's time to hit the sack
I lie down and hold you close
Tell you it will be okay
If you want I'll even rub your back

Lovely fresh recording, good delivery, and lyrics we can all identify with.  Great job.  This exercise has instilled a lot of confidence in your songwriting, clearly.

Did think you were about to launch into More Than a Feeling after the opening refrain, mind...

HI T.C.
What a wonderful peice. of lyrics so visual and true to life. i have learned
in songwriting the best songs usually will come from every day life s trials.
and error ..s and good and bad time.s if that makes sens.e this in my eyes
is the best u have done so far . this is deserving a big bump best regards NEIL

I think you must have found the diary of every married man on this site and put it in a song TC.

Good work man.

I love your stripped down style.
It ain't pretty being easy.

Okay to Cover

Edgy-yet-pretty guitar, intensely emotional vocal. Gin Blossoms-esque (man, I loved those guys). You're doing FAWM, right?

Donna D

Fine song, T.C.  :)  Your vocals sound really good here. Lots of emotion.

Honour the earth. Without it, we'd be nowhere.

Life is too important to take seriously.
