Yes I know that Sonar has improved the resource hunger no end.  But I had already switched products by that time, and I can't easily go back to it now as I have switched platforms and Cakewalk do not provide a version for a apple products.  And although I miss some of the Sonar features -  I find that GarageBand and Reaper are more than adequate for my current needs.  I do miss the piano roll though!
