Merry Christmas everyone early. this is my first song using the new CAKEWALK SONAR X-1
PROFESSIONAL HOME STUDIO . very advance and using the new D.A.W  tecnologhy...
its not an easy program to use but very professional  this was just released the 1st of
the month.took me a week or so to figure out how to use it. and it s stil not perfected.
wanted to do like an oldie type sound sort of a kenny g format. with the sax i think
it came out quite well . so hope u like this song . cheers and HAPPY HOLIDAYS. NEIL

Definitely an oldies groove, particularly with the piano, but also because of the lush synth/strings had a timeless Roxy Music-type feel to it. A delightful listen.

SwanSong

Hi Chip and Merry Christmas.

re feel of the song re roxy sound. im always amazed how members
on songcrafters read into the music and their wonderful comments.

Really nice.  The sax has a great presence.  The song is very nostalgic and romantic.

A happy soother.   After the christmas blues and unshrivan spooks, a little music like this puts me in the right mood again.

I always liked the old Sonar versions, but I stopped using it because it was so resource hungry I couldn't put down more than 10 tracks without it stalling.  Now I'm with a Mac, I can't use them anymore and I do miss some of it's features and vsti.

Nice One.

I have just started teaching myself to use Audacity.  I wonder if I should be spending the time learning a better tool...?

SwanSong

Merry Christmas Leigh and Zen
thanks for the kind comments. regarding the question about audicity re upgrading
to a better tool..if u r really learning the mixng concept most recently i would stay
with what u have and when u feel comfortable. then i would recommend going to
a better software. audicity is great for beginner s . and when time comes u will know
when ready to up grade. to a different brand or quality .either way thanks for all the
kind word.s and feel free to contact me if u have questions re software home studio
products. i have tested many out therE over ther year. s tc NEIL

RE ..Leigh question . yes old sonar s were very hungry little creature re resources.
but that is why they totally re did the interface. and went D.A. W. ive notice on my
CPU usage is only 10 percent or less when i have the X-1  running.so very low
on resources take care NEIL
