This is a fairly new Christmas carol, written in 1992 I think. I think it's a really beautiful song. Thought I'd share my simple version of it with you guys. Recorded "live" on my BR800, vox (and some guitar bleeding in too) through my Behringer B2 pro, Morgan acoustic plugged in. Tweaked the "P11 Natural" patch a bit (turned off compression on vox). Added a touch of reverb.

Merry Christmas everyone !!!!

Beautiful song... really brings a 'world music' colour to YuleFest for us English-only folks.  You are making that BR-800 sound really good!  The guitar doesn't have that 'direct-in' sound (ie: it sounds like it was recorded with a good mic in a good room)  And of course, your instantly-recognizable voice is a Viking treat.  The reverb on the vox sounds good too.

These days I merely dabble at being old and wise.
But I swear, I used to absolutely excel at being young and stupid.

Wow...I haven`t heard you sing in your native tongue but i like it. It doesn`t matter that i don`t know the words, you brought it to life with your amazing voice and it kept me listening :)

Congrats on the post milestone!!

Lovely job, wonderful vocal performance and congrats on 5000 posts! A lovely song for the Xmas period.

Although (sorry to say) the vox did overpower the guitar for me in a number of places - perhaps a bit more compression to even out the vox peaks?

Cheers,

Nigel
