Well... Wrote lyrics and added the vox for the instrumental song I wrote here

Was harder than I thought. I kept trying to force a melody of what I thought it SHOULD sound like rather than to just allow the melody to come out on its own. So in the end, the song won out.

Style-wise, I think this is pretty different for me, so we'll see how this goes.

Thanks to everyone who listened and commented on the original version too. ;)

***Wow! Just noticed that this is my 1000th post!***

Until the Morning Comes

Don't try to keep it deep inside
Cause I know how you like
To make me cry

Things are going way too good
And tonight is the night
Girl you knew I would

Let's take it nice and slow
   And I promise to show
You just how it is done

When you move in that sexy way
You know I want you to stay
   Until the morning comes

You look at me with that come hither stare
Girl you know it ain't fair
That you got me shaking

Give you every part of me
Cause girl can't you see
That you got me aching

Can't believe you left me like this
With only a kiss
girl you know that I want you

Stop playing these games with me
And I promise I'll be
The man you want me to

Let's take it nice and slow
   And I promise to show
You just how it is done

When you move in that sexy way
You know I want you to stay
   Until the morning comes

Let's take it nice and slow
   And I promise to show
You just how it is done

When you move in that sexy way
You know I want you to stay
   Until the morning comes

I love this!  :)

Great 70s rock with a soul vibe to it - brings to mind the great Shuggie Otis and Earth, Wind, & Fire.

"So in the end, the song won out."  You are damn right there man, flipping deadly.  Your vocal weaves along perfectly with the backing music.  Its like hard-rocking soul music.  Damn fine (i can;t stop using the word damn here, I like this so much).  Right out of the park man, outer space bound.

Alternate Tunings: CAUTION: your fingers have to be in different places
